No Shame

So what I listen to the Ghostbusters theme song every time it comes up on shuffle? I like it. It pumps me up. It's cool. I may or may not be listening to it right now as I'm getting ready for school.

Charge on into the fight!

Last night I visited good old Lone Peak. My brother, Josh and my dad all came along too. We went to watch the boys JV and Varsity basketball games against AF. It was so fun getting to see some of the girls I played with at the game and catching up with them. Hopefully I'll be able to watch them play in the state tournament next week. I also got to see my old coach and chat with him for a few minutes. I miss competitive ball. Intramural is fun don't get me wrong, but I miss the competitiveness and challenge of high school ball. Also, I am now REALLY out of shape and miss how fast I could run and how long I could go for. I'm workin' on it though haha. I loved being back in my old gym. If anyone wants to play a little pick up ball lemme know!

Doin' our thinggg
All of the pictures I see of myself posting up on her make me think of the time I had to jump against her. It's pretty obvious which team got the first possession.
I most likely got owned on this shot.
When everyone thought it'd be hilarious to sign my face.
Basketball has helped me come to see just how ugly my face can get. Oh buddy!

Vincent Eric Magleby

Yesterday Dayna had her baby! Little Vinny was born at 4:39 am, and I got to be there to witness the whole thing! It honestly was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I already love him so much! I can't imagine how much i'm going to love my own kids. My mom asked Jayne if she wanted to go see her baby brother. She said: "no!" hahaha. That little girl doesn't even know that her world has been totally rocked. She's going to have to learn how to adjust quite a bit haha. I wish I had more pictures to show. All of the pictures are on Lauren's camera.

Valentine's Party 2011 = success
It was just us three! Just kidding we actually had a great turn out (I was surprised. I thought there would be like 15 people)! This was taken after some basketball and other festivities so ignore the sweaty red face.

A common sight I'm afraid to say

The cool kids hangin around

Thanks Emilee for taking some pictures. I failed and left my camera in Provo.

Happy Valentines Day

Hug o' War
I will not play at tug o' war
I'd rather play at hug o' war
Where everyone hugs instead of tugs
Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug
Where everyone kisses and everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles and everyone wins

-Shel Silverstein

I like this poem because it's very Valentine's Day appropriate without being too serious and mushy. HA!

The Greatest Love

Our Savior's Love
Our Savior's love shines like the sun with perfect light,
As from above it breaks thru clouds of strife.
Lighting our way. It leads us back into his sight.
Where we may stay to share eternal life.

The Spirit voice of goodness, whispers to our hearts
A better choice than evil's anguished cries
Loud may the sound of hope ring till all doubt departs,
And we are bound to him by loving ties.

Our Father, God of all creation, hear us pray.
In reverence awed by thy Son's sacrifice
Praises we sing. We love thy law; we will obey.
Our heavenly King, in thee our hearts rejoice.

Text: Edward L. Hart

My grandma shared a hymn that she wanted someone to sing at her funeral. I think if I were to pick one today for mine it would be this one.

I love my ward so much. I had such a great experience at church today. We sang this hymn in sacrament meeting, and I couldn't help but get a little emotional. Our Savior truly does love every one of us. Not only did He die for us but He lived for us. I need to start living for Christ more and stop worrying about myself. Every single message and lesson given in church today was something that I needed to hear. It's amazing how Heavenly Father knows of my needs and what messages were necessary for me to hear today.

Sorry for all of the intense blog posts lately. I've just felt so much gratitude lately for the knowledge that I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ and needed to share.

Dear Kate, stop being an idiot and go grocery shopping

I haven't been to the grocery store in 4 months. For breakfast this morning I had a special k bar. Then for lunch I got to the wilk and realized I had left my wallet at home. Instead of staying on campus like I had planned to, I had to come home to eat something after my later class. I am now eating a late lunch that will probably also be my dinner. It consists of crackers and a glass of water. I NEED TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE TOMORROW!!!!!

I MADE A HUGE DISCOVERY ABOUT MYSELF IN CLASS TODAY! I love my school! I think I may have figured out this whole growing up thing, and let me just say "I don't hate it!"

Once upon a time I wasn't a starving college student.

Just My Thoughts

I have wanted to go hiking so badly lately. I love the feeling of being high up in the mountains away from the rest of the world. I have a list of hikes that I want to do this summer and can't wait to do them all.
It has been almost 3 years since I've been home I miss it so much! If I'm able to, it would be A DREAM to go back to Maryland this summer. I miss the diversity, the GREEN, the humidity (yeah, weird I know) and all of the people I grew up with. If my little life plan goes exactly how I want, I will end up living there after I'm married and out of school.
This is a horrible picture of Moe, but it's the only one I have, and it's from my old phone. This is when he had a bunch of health problems so the hair around this eye was shaved off.
On February 17 it will be two years since we had to put Moe to sleep. We got him when I was in preschool, so there was a strong attachment to him felt by all of my family. When I'm older I want a dog again. I miss having Moe to cuddle up to.
This girl is the cutest thing alive. Just sayin'
The other day I was babysitting so I got to take Josie to her basketball game. My mom told us to be there really early, and we ended up being the first ones in the gym. I decided to work on some moves and technique with her. It was so much fun teaching her about something that I love so much! I can't wait to teach my kids the fundamentals of basketball. Even if they don't end up playing as I did, it will still be so fun to be able to share that with my kids. Can't wait :) ok yeah I can definitely but you know what I mean
Yesterday I was going through a rough time. The Lord truly blesses me, and I have felt the tender mercies from him. Yesterday I ran into my cousin Adam twice on campus (striped shirt; this picture is like 5 years old). Adam and I have always been really close, and it brought such a comfort to me to be able to see him twice yesterday.

I am so blessed to have so many people in my life who love me. I have so much happiness in my life, and a huge part of it is because I know that I am loved always.

The other day I was sitting at the BYU basketball game and all of a sudden my phone buzzed. It was a text from Kwasi that said: "Love+ya" It seriously made my day. I love when I get random texts from him. I'm happy to say that I get those texts a lot. He is such a sweet kid.

This is such an amazing time in my life. I have so many things to be thankful for. I love my life and can't wait to see where I end up.

Sorry for how random this post was. I did not expect to go off like this. Blogging is very therapeutic I've learned.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"- John 14:27

I love the peace that the scriptures bring to me. I love the gospel so much and would be completely lost without it. I feel so blessed to have a knowledge that my Savior lives and loves me. He is my strength, and I am completely reliant on Him always. He is always there to comfort me and lift me up.

I love this group, and feel beyond thankful that I was born into such an amazing family.
