Project Runway Finale

So tonight was the finale! To celebrate we went over to my sister Lauren's friend Lauren's apartment (confusing). Lauren and I decided to dress up as contestants on the show for the big finale. Neither of us had a camera so I took a picture when I got home on my photobooth (lame).

Lauren chose Gretchen, and I decided to be Andy. The hair was so hard to get and you can't really see it in these pictures. Andy has a mohawk with crazy long extensions. I have a thick huge head of hair so it was challenging. I sported the one earring in my ear and the dark leather jacket. Sadly, my pants weren't black but they are practically the same exact style as his which I find hilarious (Lauren got them on her study abroad) I wish I had a better way to show pictures but this will have to do

Ps: I used base on my face for the first time in SO long. Andy has an airbrush machine that he uses to put on his makeup (HA!) so I felt it was appropriate to cake it on.

For obvious reasons I couldn't rock his low v-neck but I feel that I did pretty well with what I had in my apartment. These pictures don't do it justice but whatev.

Just Writing Down My Thoughts of the Day

Does anyone want to plan out my life for me? Pretty sure I have NO idea where I'm going in any aspect of my life except for maybe one... I have so many goals, but no idea how to get where I want to go. Man, they don't prepare you for the real world well enough in high school. Sometimes I wish I lived in a place that just decided what you were going to be from the age of 5. Maybe then I'd be the figure skater or gymnast I always wanted to be (probably not...you don't see many female gymnasts who are 5'10") Ok, of course I don't really wish that but man major decision making is stressful. I'm already a psycho worrier but when you add a stressful situation I go crazy. Anyway, I am happy but just stressed. I'll figure this all out. Life is good.

I get to pick my classes for next semester soon and I am so excited! I am really really really hoping to be able to get into floral design. I love school.

Halloween Partay!

Tonight my aunt Chalise had a Halloween party at my house. It was so much fun! A bunch of the family  came so it was fun to see those cousins who I don't see as often.

My cousin Mike and aunt Lanise workin' it

Da best! Chuckie = Princess Lolly, Mike = Mr. Mint, Kate = Queen Frostine
For those who aren't familiar with children's board games we are characters from Candy Land.

Mr Mint in the classic pose. Get it Mike!
 Cutie Patootie! Lovin' it Chuckerini

Mike's a little jealous of my board position (he's one of the ones in the beginning of the game...too bad)

Queen Frostine is that card that everyone hopes to pick up while playing Candy Land. BOOM yeah!

Yes, this is my hair not a wig. It's absolutely disgusting right now. Now I know what gray will look like in a few decades

Peace Out!

Don't read if you haven't watched Project Runway this week.

FINALLY the judges saw what I saw!! Michael is not going to fashion week!!! For weeks I've been trying to figure out why he's still on, but now I am at peace!
Ok, for those who did watch it. Can we please talk about his dramatic exit. He seriously acted like a 3 year old. It was semi-amusing though I will admit. The scowl, pausing on the runway for 15 minutes, the leaning against the wall while Gretchen tried to awkwardly comfort him were all too funny. (I know how Gretchen feels being too tall to hug someone comfortably, especially since she was coming from behind. Sorry to my short friends but hugging you is awkward)

Well, I am quite satisfied.. Any predictions of who will win? I'm saying Mondo
Can't wait to see the full collections in the finale!!!

It's Because We Do Ugly So Well

Most people blog using cute pictures. I felt it was necessary to branch out a little from the typical blogging. I am awkward, like really awkward. It's sad but kinda hilarious at the same time. The people who understand my awkwardness the most are probably those who taught me best. Because my family is really photogenic I thought I'd share some of my favorite family pictures:

Stay classy Josephine

I don't know what he does in his sleep to have bed head like this

The usual crowd pleaser. This is me as a beautiful child. This image made appearances as several peoples' profile pictures on facebook as well as in Steve and Dayna's wedding slideshow. What. a. gem.

Anybody have a favorite?

Mom is the exception in our family. What a cutie!

Sorry for my dramatic post hahaha. The pictures aren't working so I'll just say what I was going to show in a picture. It was the paper I got back when I....DECLARED MY MAJOR! Family Life: Human Development. I AM SO EXCITED! It's perfect for me. I can't wait to start taking all of the classes!!

Deal With It

I have pride issues. So, I've gone through the list of majors a hundred times at BYU. Every time I go through them I feel like I'm supposed to do something in the School of Family Life, but I won't let myself because I feel like I need to challenge myself more, people will make fun of me etc. Recently it just keeps coming to mind, even though I try to push it out. Nothing else seems to fit me as well as this does. I just have to get past my dumb issues. Last year my friend's brother was making fun of it, and I couldn't help but get really upset, even though that wasn't my major. I just feel like it's most suitable for what I want to do....I dunno. So you can judge me, think I'm stupid, think I have no goals in life and just want to get married...Go for it. Others do, and that's their problem. If you can't tell I'm a little passionate about this hahaha. Well anyway, I'm going to the SFL open house tonight which will hopefully seal the deal.

Da best

This may be weird that I'm posting this but whatever I was SOOO excited! For those who don't know my best friend Caleb is serving a mission in Ecuador. He can't write me because they discontinued the pouch from Ecuador. I get forwarded the email from his mom every week, and that's it (that is not me complaining; it's a fact). This week he sent his brother some pictures for him to forward on to me for my birthday!!!!! I was so so so so so excited! To answer the question that I get asked constantly no, I am not waiting for Caleb. That doesn't mean that I don't like to hear from him or that I don't really really like him still. I don't make promises that I can't keep, and I can't promise to wait around for 2 years. People change a lot and who knows what will happen. I'm not a waiter hater at all it just doesn't feel right for me. Sorry to go off...anyway, here are some pictures he sent:

On the back of that picture he wrote a note to me. He's probably my favorite person. Just kidding he is definitely my favorite person.

The caption that went along with this one was "Caleb celebrating by eating pancakes" HA!

This was my favorite and had me laughing for a good 10 minutes! BAHAHA!

A Vintage Poster

Yesterday I turned twenty......hmmm. As one of my gifts Lauren had my cousin Sara (she married my cousin does that mean she's my cousin? What do you call those?) custom design a poster for me. Sara is ridiculously talented. If you ever need a graphic designer Sara is AWESOME! She can be found here for her posters and here for her wedding announcements. She was responsible for Lauren's pretty invitations and paper elements for her wedding.

Ignore the fact that the writing is backwards photobooth is all I have to work with.

Fun Flags

Today I made flags for Lauren's birthday pie. It was really fun, and I want to make more/cuter ones.

Sorry the flags blended into my sweater

Fixed my frizzy hair for a second shot

I'm kinda proud of this shot.

Moved the pie so the flags would show up better.

My Talented Sister

When you first read this blog title you assumed I was talking about my sister Lauren. Well, you were wrong. Josephine's artistic talent was recently discovered. At activity days she made........

We had a lot of fun with this little guy? girl? We think it's a ghost.....I wasn't aware that ghost had eyelashes.
